With a family-friendly atmosphere, colorful décor, and state-of-the-art operating rooms, PDI provides first-rate care to children who are suffering from severe tooth decay, the nation’s number one childhood health epidemic.
Our surgery center is open Monday through Friday. Our staff is happy to give you a tour of the facility and an overview of our services.
‘After our tour, I walked away with a sense of hope for children who walk into PDI. I am impressed that the staff does such important work for so many kids.” - Julie M.

PDI Surgery Center is the only nonprofit pediatric dental facility in Northern California serving children specifically for severe tooth decay. PDI is the standard of quality care as an ambulatory dental surgery center. Because PDI is also a Medi-Cal certified facility, our facility is governed by the strictest federal and state healthcare regulations.
PDI meets all recommended guidelines for pediatric outpatient dental surgery.
- 2 fully-equipped operating rooms
- 2 pre-op areas
- 2 recovery beds in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit
- On-Site equipment sterilization
- Medical anesthesiologists
- Experienced, specialized dental and medical staff
- Easily accessed from Highway 101
PDI provides a child-friendly environment for the comfort of the patients and families. Our facility protocol is designed to allow children and parents to be together as much as possible - from pre-op screening, to the child's awakening from anaesthesia.
We recognize that the reassuring presence of parents helps prepare children for dental surgery and aids in recovery, which may help lessen the potential for future dental trauma.
