Viveka Rydell-Anderson graduated from UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 1997, and received her B.A. with honors from UCLA in 1993. Before joining PDI, Mrs. Rydell-Anderson worked for eight years as a litigator with Bingham McCutchen, and Coblentz Patch, Duffy & Bass in San Francisco. In 2001, the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights (LCCR) awarded Mrs. Rydell-Anderson the Keta Taylor Colby Award in recognition of her work with non-profit organizations.

Mrs. Rydell-Anderson came to PDI in 2006, leading the Capital Campaign, overseeing construction and hiring of key staff, with PDI’s doors ultimately opening January 2008. She recently enjoyed being the recipient of the CalWellness Foundation Sabbatical Award 2016-2017. She has also been recognized as the 2016 Healthcare Leader by the Center for Well-Being, the Women in Business Award 2013 by the San Francisco-Silicon Valley Swedish Chamber of Commerce, and Women in Business Award 2012 by the North Bay Business Journal.  She has three children who brush and floss.

Julie Tucker, RN, CPN

Ms. Tucker, a graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Nursing, is a Certified Pediatric Nurse who trained at the St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Before coming to PDI Surgery Center, she gained experience working with children as a nurse at Pediatric Associates and at Sutter Medical Center in Santa Rosa, where she excelled in the Pediatrics, PICU and NICU departments. Ms. Tucker also worked as a preceptor to train nursing students and was a prominent member of several administrative committees. Other certifications include PALS, BLS, and ACLS.

Hazel Whiteoak has experience in such diverse areas as science and technology, broadcasting, public relations, education and politics. She served as Chief Press Secretary to the Honorable Jim Bolger, former Prime Minister of New Zealand. For the last 20 years, she has been committed to the nonprofit world and has enjoyed working at the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County, Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County, and Community Support Network.

Suzan Mendoza

Suzan Mendoza worked for a small business in Windsor, CA in their human resources and billing department for over 15 years before deciding to direct her efforts into the healthcare field. She has recently completed a certificate as a Medical Administrative Specialist with Billing and Coding through Sonoma State University, and finds that her willingness to learn and her compassion for kids has found a natural home at PDI. Suzan is an animal lover who enjoys hikes and weightlifting, and who is committed to giving her own daughter the tools and morals for a successful life.

Rosa Bernal was born and raised in Sonoma County. Rosa has worked in the dental field for more than twelve years with local dentists. Ms. Bernal provides PDI with translation services, patient scheduling, and administrative support. She is currently enrolled at the SRJC and her goal is to become a Pediatric Registered Nurse.
